River Rafting on The Oregon Trail

Emigrants followed old buffalo trails which meandered between major rivers.

 

The Missouri River -

• There are 4 miles of Class III rapids below Morony Dam.

• Early explorers called this river, "Old Misery".

• Emigrants followed this river from St. Louis to near Independence, Missouri where they picked up the Kansas River.

Rogue River Rafting

 

The Rogue river is one of the best known rivers for whitewater rafting, but it can be dangerous so go with experienced rafters.

Owyhee River Rafting

 

The Owyhee river is smack dab in the middle of Oregon and has class III and class IV water.
